ERASE
This science fiction shortfilm was my final project during my first year of filmschool at LUCA School of Arts. As a result, it was te first "mayor production" I wrote, directed and edited.
ERASE aims to tell a story about racism and its destructive capabilities towards people in a not so distant, dystopian future.

GWN GAAN
GWN GAAN was my first non-fiction project. It was created in my second year of film school. The aim was to take the audience on an audiovisual trip through Milan's mind to visualise his inner conflict with insecurities.
As part of the assignment, the whole project (from conceptualisation to finished product) was finished within one week. As a result, an extremely small crew was used concisting of myself (director, camera), Jonas Vanoyenbrugge (gaffer, sound) And Milan Vanderstraeten (talent).
Marked by the Spider
Marked by the Spider was my bachelors' project for film school. It's a story revolving around what it means to be human and the impact of technology on this topic.
As part of the assignment, a whole list of rules were given to us. The number three was the clue. The film could be a maximum of 3 minutes long, could be filmed in a radius of 3km from campus in a maximum of 3 half days, could contain a maximum of 3 scenes and could only have 3 main characters.
God save the Queen
This short documentary was a project in my third year of film school. We follow Arwen, a promising climber who tries to climb a dream route of her named "God save the Queen" (8a). As she does, we learn about the impact climbing has on her life as well as the insecurities it brings with it.
The project also served as a learning tool to shoot video material in a more remote/difficult environment that required some technical camera work. As such it was the first time I filmed while being suspended from the ground.
